David Clancy headshotDavid Clancy (dclancy@math.wisc.edu) joined UW-Madison in August of 2022. He is doing a postdoc with Hanbaek Lyu and Sebastian Roch in Mathematics and is partly supported by IFDS. He completed his PhD in mathematics at the University of Washington in Seattle working under the supervision of Soumik Pal. During graduate school he worked on problems related to the metric-measure space structure of sparse random graphs with small surplus as their size grows large. He plans to investigate a wider range of topics related to the component structure of random graphs with an underlying community structure as well as inference problems on trees and graphs.
